On January 6th, 1907 in the city of Rome, Dr. Maria Montessori began her career as an educator of children. On a different continent a century later, this 100 year old tradition is carried on by The Mississauga Children Montessori School. Established by a Montessori veteran - this school is the result of a longing to give something back to the community. Having owned and operated larger schools in the Richmond Hill area The Mississauga Children Montessori School is a step back to Montessori Roots.
Caring, qualified Montessori teachers deliver a curriculum derived to give early childhood skills and motivation they need to excel within our increasingly competitive education system. An accelerated academic program - made up of math, language, culture, computers, music, art and daily French lessons - are balanced with Maria Montessori's ideal that children learn manners, grace, respect of self and also that they become acquainted with their environment. Our daily curriculum is supplemented with educational field trips, planned visitors as well as an active physical education system. |
